The true Bush 04 deficit is NOT 413 Billion.... that's the bogus unified budget figure of what we have to borrow from outside the government. The TRUE Bush deficit is in the 570 Billion range. The lower figure hides the 150 Billion we're borrowing from various federal trust funds such as SS. That money has to be repaid... or at least we hope it will.
BTW.... Kerry was no better. He claimed he wanted to cut the deficit in half. He didn't mean the deficit in on-budget spending... he meant the bogus unified budget. He pretended that the 150 billion borrowed from the trust funds didn't count.
