35. The Governator
Anyone listen to his speech the other night? He's definitely falling in with the Bush mold (I can't figure Maria out).
He's talking about redistricting........to me, this sounds like the same crap that DeLay did in Texas. I see where this could eventually screw up our federal representatives. Maybe that was the whole plan--send in good old likeable Ahnold to start turning Calyfornia into a red state. They're after us, folks. I'm willing to bet that now, they will be targeting Barbara Boxer's seat in 4 years, even though after Kerry and dubya, she got more votes than anyone in the country in this last election.
We're also quite disturbed that the Govenator wants to start messing with CALPERS, and other state employees pension funds, claiming they are "out of contol". It's like the Bush manufactured Social Security crisis: CALPERS is one of the only programs in the black in this state. That's my husband's retirement he's trying to rip off. It also sounds like union-busting, saying they are becoming "too powerful", the "special interests", etc. etc. Again, in the Bush mold, anyone who doesn't agree with you must be crushed.
