The Fayettenam coffee shops are charging around four bucks for a "tall" cappucino. So I'd imagine it's double that, once you figure in the VAT, the "value-added tax" which is really a national sales tax, in England. At the current exchange rate, which is essentially $2/1GBP, a cappucino would be 4GBP.

Cocaine, on the other hand, has no VAT.

According to http://www.thegooddrugsguide.com (wonderful site, very little government bullshit), the street price for coke in the UK is between 30 and 60 British pounds per gram. If you can get ten lines out of a gram of cheap blow, you're looking at a 3GBP line versus a 4GBP cappucino.

The solution, as rodeodance has noted, is to get the caffeine pushers to cut THEIR prices.

Then again...how many people do you know who sit there with a cup of joe to the left and a line of blow to the right and think, "now which one of these should I do?"
