fucked. Wedge issues only work when they are never resolved, so the strongly anti-abortion and anti-gay voters should expect abortion to remain legal and marriage equality to happen. The conservative politicians care about having the wedge issues to use to win office far more than they actually care about "winning" on those issues. In their few honest moments, they know they can't win. The momentum flows in the direction of freedom.
