Please tell me why. I'm not a huge fan of MS, but they do have a right to require that people abide by the software license they agree too when they install the product.

Sorry, but I don't find preventing piracy objectionable.

Then again, I don't find people that find work arounds to it particularly objectionable earlier.

I do believe that MS has a right to enforce their copyrights, and those who have legitimate licenses have nothing to worry about. I've never had a problem with product activation via MS, it's always worked fine for me, and this is no different in the long run.
