Rush has done that. Face it folks, racism is alive and well in the US. There are those who look for every opportunity to legitimize their own prejudices and ESPN has given 16 million people a way to do that through Rush. In the past various code words have been used to describe and demean African Americans. During the Reagan years the word "deficit" was even used to frenzy up voters who were told that high deficits were caused by social spending (that benefited the "welfare queens" and "affirmative action" and "unqualified, lazy, unemployed"

I would not give Rush the benefit of even making this an issue and give ESPN and Rush more publicity. The racists and bigots in this country are an unfortunate part of our culture and country. They have their place...make them irrelevant by ignoring them.
