20. I know it does no good but...
this is what I sent in an email:

Mr. Cooper,
I couldn't believe it when I read the headline. If I were a member of the news media I would be ashamed to admit your responsibilities are dictated by an administration that is not supported by more than half the people of the United States.
I also have a question. Why, in 2005, do you call this a "slow summer news cycle?" More than 30 soldiers have died since August 1st-in an unjust war, I might add. Pictures of atrocities are being illegally kept from America. There is a Grand Jury investigating many members of this White House. The protests against the war are beginning to build. There are real questions about the nominee for the Supreme Court. The so-called President cannot tolerate coming out of his bubble to confront a real person who might actually disagree with him to his face. By the way, if it is so slow why not cover Cindy Sheehan and all the respected groups that are supporting her? Did you even hesitate when you wrote "self-described broken-hearted mother." Did you even have a twinge of discomfort at the disrespect? I could go on and on, but I am sure you get the picture. Please don't wait for another woman to be kidnapped to spice up the slow summer. We, the people, are hungering for real news.

At least I said something even if I was the only one listening.
