34. This is unbearable.
Surely something will stop him. Surely.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Joe Andrew talks Friday with Clara Padilla Andrews, publisher of the Hispanic News in Portland, Ore., as part of a push to draw more Hispanic voters to the Democratic Party. Andrew and Republican National Committee Chairman Jim Nicholson both addressed a convention of Hispanic publishers meeting at the Monte Carlo.

The $50 Outrage: The Democrats' appalling chairman

LOS ANGELES (August 14) -- "So, how is the Democrat Convention going to be different than the Republican?" giggled the caffeinated Fox News entertainment reporter gal to some Democrat spokesman.

A horrible face then filled the screen – weak double-chin (on a man who is obviously skinny), pasty complexion, fey little wire glasses, nerd-smirk. "Wellll, first of all, you'll see that the Democrats actually know how to dance!" burbled a man whose last dance was probably to "Stairway to Heaven" at the junior high prom. "Also, you'll see that our entertainers are actually, you know, people who have some relevance to the past 20 years!" (Those quotes are inexact, but unexaggerated.)

Welcome to the awful world of Joe Andrew, the Democratic Party's appalling twit of a national chairman. He's a dot-com weenie, a professional money hustler and influence peddler whose lone visible political passion seems to be a desire to hug everybody.

"How do you know if you're a Democrat? If you've ever met someone down on his or her luck, and you wanted to help, then you're a Democrat," Andrew wrote recently, in one of the worst essays I have ever read by an adult. "If you have ever seen the look in a child's eyes of fear, of hunger, or of aspiration, and wanted to help, then you're a Democrat. ... If you believe that we are better off working together than apart, then you're a Democrat. If you believe in community, opportunity, and responsibility, then you are a Democrat."
