Virginia is 20.0% Black

where I live, in Alexandria VA, the population is 22.5% Black

then you drive toward the Blue Ridge Mountains and pass the BIG billboard that says "GUNS" with a giant confederate flag, and you KNOW that you have entered 'rural' Virginia....

Sterling Virginia is located Loudon County, Virginia and has a population of 20,512 people. Although this U.S. Census table doesn't list the racial figures for Sterling VA, the area can be understood by reviewing the Loudon County figures that are listed:

Hamilton Town, Loudon County is 1.4% Black
Lovettsville Town, Loudon County is 2.4 % Black
Round Hill Town, Loudon County is 7.2 % Black
Leesburg Town, Loudon County is 9.2 % Black

the drive is not too far from where I live, (Alexandria, Virginia 22.5% Black) but the change in Black population is stunning and is created by the constant vigilance of radical fundamentalist churches and clubs and private schools that harrass and threaten Black people with their constant display of conferate flags and just in the last two years that I have lived here....TWO burning of crosses on Black people's lawns...

BTW, I don't think it's particularly prosperous to live at the end of the Dulles Airport runways, where Sterling Virginia is located. Keeping the area economically viable are the big Dulles Airport hotels, with service jobs. There is a 20 % drop in per capita income in the 25 miles between my location and Sterling Virginia. It is well known that Virginia flug itself backwards by starting a Civil War, and has remained poor due to it's scary continuation of terrorism...Jerry Falwell is major here, Rush is on the radio streaming hate still (replays)...Virginia is a major bastion of angry white men prominently displaying confederate flags and spewing fundamentalist terrorism in the name of God....I just got an ad in the mail inviting me to Free Admission 'The Real Homeland Security Family Life Bible Series' (What is America's Destiny? Find answers through bible prophecy)...it's the ultimate terrorist location in the USA, the home of the pentagoon....
