25. The trees are not thinned out due to lack of money
Where I live, we are encouraged to clear brush away from our house and cut the grass on the open space. They ask for more money to clear the brush, but there is not enough money. They sometimes try controlled burns, but it is very dangerous to do near houses because sometimes the fires get out of control. I have NEVER heard an environmentalist stop the thinning of the brush. Everyone knows this ecosystem thrives with small fires. The problem is the houses that prevents routine fires to clear the brush. Thus when the fires start, they burn too hot, and cannot be stopped.
