13. Not the end of the world
As a 56 year old male with muscular dystrophy who has slowly lost the ability to walk over about 30 years, and who now has basically useless legs, let me say that life in a wheelchair is not the end of the world. I am also the son of a WWII disabled vet. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't wish disability on my worst enemy. It makes me tear up just to think about these guys and what they and their families are and will be going through. These guys deserve all the financial and medical assistance available and get it at taxpayer expense. Not to mention the emotional support of every citizen of this country. I pray they will lead happy and productive lives in spite of what has been handed them. It can be done.

PS: Members of Congress supporting reducing veteran and military personnel benefits should roast for eternity in the hottest corner of Hell!
