12:30 pm : Leadership has faded, and the indices are now trading in mixed fashion near the flat line. Materials continues to sport a session-leading gain, but its +0.8% is having a minimal effect on the broader market since the sector comprises just 3% of the S&P 500. The Tech sector had been one of the market's best sources of support all morning, but buying has subsided and it's now up a modest 0.2%. Oil's advance has helped stifle the market's steam. Crude futures are now up 0.6% to $60.40 per barrel. Despite the uptick, the Energy sector (-0.5%) has not managed to catch a bid and continues to weigh on the market.
