Bush could help his public image, and it wouldn't hurt Kerry, who has been attacked by tens of thousands of lefty conspiracy theorists over it, too.

The problem is that the "Conventional Wisdom" asserts that this is a Urban Legend, which "allows" a lot of people to ridicule the idea (see my sig line of Carl Sagan's quote, below). But there's evidence that Prescott Bush and his pals actually did lift the remains, and this issue deserves to be investigated and put to rest.

Prescott Bush, to his credit, got some sense in his later years and, as a legislator, opposed racism and discrimination. If he really did steal Geronimo's skull (and other remains), his grandson can do the family AND the indian nations a great service by repatriating those remains.
