14. I'm afraid we won't gain as much as we should this time.

Zogby said: “The Democrats have no program on any issue, they have nothing to say that matters to anyone in the United States today."

We have the unusual opportunity this election to make a veritable death blow to the far right wing that won't come again. The people are ready to make the change. But they want a new vision of the future. They want a future that frees them from the corporate cronyism that we have been living under for the past five years. They want fascism reversed.

So how are the Democrat leaders trying to win over the populace? With silence.

They're letting the repugs defeat themselves. And that may work. But the people want leadership, they don't want to hear "See, we're not nearly as bad as they are."

To my mind the one thing that Democrats should do is fire all the consultants. They are the ones that got us into the minority in the first place. Then stand up and just talk to the people.

TomPaine.com had a fascinating article here
that said:

"It’s time for the WITTs to take over from the YOYOs."

He defined the republican principle as "You're On Your Own" and the Democrat's as "We're In This Together". That's the kind of talk the national Democrats should be speaking.

Silence convinces no one.
