Here's one link I found after a simple search on Google about underwire bras being prohibited, though this case being a jail:

As I've tried to make clear, courts are just as concerned about security as any jail. You have to contact a given court to find out its policy. The first time I'd ever heard of underwire bras being a no-go item in a courthouse was back in the early 90's; I wasn't even in high school yet, so this isn't exactly the world's best kept secret that sometimes innocuous items find their way onto no-go lists. HypnoToad made the point that "no metal means no metal" with the implication being that most types of non-medical sources of metal are going to be suspect.
