28. Yeah, just like 80 years of heroin confiscation has eliminated heroin.
I say that if the government would do it's job, and confiscate ALL firearms, then the kids would be alive...

Yeah, just like 80 years of heroin confiscation, backed up by enforcement measures that go well beyond that permitted by the Fourth Amendment, has eliminated heroin... :eyes:

But the mask comes off...

I will say this. You are living in a fantasy world if you think that confiscation of ANY currently legal civilian guns would fly nationwide, never mind all handguns, all "assault weapons," or all guns. Attempting it would launch a literal civil war, but it would never get to that point, because the party that tried it would be out on its ear. To quote Plutarch, Пάλιν δ̀ὲ̀ του̑ Ξέρξου γράψαντος 'πέµψον τὰ ὅπλα' ἀντέγραψε 'µολὼν λαβέ' (from Moralia, III, Apophthegmata Laconica, "Sayings of Spartans")

My wife and I own guns, lawfully and responsibly, as do ~80 million others of voting age in this country. We will keep them, thanks. If you refuse to distinguish between lawful and responsible gun owners and the criminal and irresponsible, then you will continue to get nowhere. The failure to make that distinction, and going after lawful target shooters instead of criminal trafficking, is precisely why the U.S. gun-control lobby is in the sorry shape it's now in.
