hmmmm....
Do I have the gist of the recent Pakistan history right here? Musharef has said he would take off his uniform once his (illegal under Pakistan rules?) "presidency" was ruled ok by the court. But it had looked like the court would not rule in his favor so he sacked some of the judges and installed new ones more friendly to him. Then when lawyers objected he declared martial law and started arresting anyone who opposed him, including Bhutto and folks running in the opposition party for elections which he says will occur in February. Is that about it?

Why is it we are still referring to Pakistan as a democracy?
