bias of the transplant team involved. When I was waiting for my transplant, (I'm a non smoker) I went to a christmas party and went outside around the fire, there were probably two people smoking cigarettes. Next thing I know, the transplant hospital fired off a letter telling me that I was being taken off the list for SMOKING. I went in and told them they were full of shit, I am a non smoker and do NOT SMOKE, and they reran the tests and said it was "second hand smoke" level and they took me off the transplant list for THREE MONTHS!!! For three solid months I had to run from anybody I saw smoking. They ended up not transplanting me and I got cancer. I did get the transplant but the cancer has returned now, three years later, and I blame the hospital for their bullshit.
