The Event to Prevent
Each year The Candies Foundation hosts an annual fundraising event to honor individuals that have done exceptional work for the cause and helped advance the foundation message.
Past Honorees have included Senator Hilary Clinton, Katie Couric, Paula Zahn, Governor Thomas Keen, Jane Fonda, Kim Catrall, etc. Past Performers have included Jackson Browne, Jennifer Hudson, Lionel Richie, Teddy Geiger, Jewel, Ashlee Simpson, Destiny’s Child, etc.
2008 was a record year for the Foundation, The Event to Prevent raised close to $1.5 million dollars. In all, the Foundation has raised several million dollars.
