I don't like spending more either (or how it might affect inflation), but maybe now americans will lose that sense of privilege when it comes to the world's energy supplies. We need to get serious about how we're going to solve the problem. Cheap gas is just more delusional thinking, IMO. Doesn't everyone else in the world pay alot more?
