I think it's sad that Paul Wellstone died in a plane crash. But planes do crash. They crash with Democratic senators on board. They also crash with Kennedys, pop singers, and Alaska Republicans on them as well. And they also crash when people who aren't famous are on board.

I know it sounds crazy, but perhaps those stories didn't grow legs because there weren't conspiracies to be found.

The larger a conspiracy, the more people there are who need to keep their mouths shut. And people just aren't all that great at that.
