they should do so under the direction of an Independent Special Prosecutor. No way should Ashcroft have any say in this. This is too big - Areas of investigation include breakdown in intelligence prior to 9-11, civil rights violations of Arab Americans, cover-up of Saudi involvement in 9-11, political misuse of intelligence to build support for war with Iraq, and cronyism in awarding contracts for rebuilding Iraq. Demos need to move on this. There are repub senators that can be shamed/scared into helping out (Shelby, Collins, Chafee, Spector, Roberts) but Demos must lead the way.
