38. Recall is not as easy in Minnesota as it is in California
The state constitution limits the reasons for recall to serious malfeasance or nonfeasance. The state Supreme Court has to decide that the facts alleged in the petition are true and are grounds for a recall petition. After that, the court appoints a special master who holds hearings to detetemine if the grounds are sufficient for a recall. That, and it would take 500,000 signatures to get the petition rolling (remember, there's only about 5 million people in the state).

All this to get rid of a Bush* stooge who was elected with a plurality of 44% and, in my opinion, is probably a crook. I agree with some of the posters above, the more someone proclaims their Christianity the less apt I am to turn my back on them. Every budget cut Pawlenty pushed hurt the most vulnerable people in the state. I sent him an email asking him is he remembered what Jesus said about "What you do to the least of my brethren, you do to me." But I never got a response.
