26. watching C-span 1&2 on Ohio Objection
I mentioned it to my partner this morning before she left for work -- told her that I wouldn't be surprised if some GOPer equates objection to terrorism...

she said "what does that have to do with the election?"

me: nothing - but they will try to link the two together -- just wait and see

ok, so I'm flipping between c-span 1 & 2 -- and sure enough some GOPer stands up and says the objection to Ohio emboldens those who hate our freedoms.. (close enough to objection = terrorism in my book)

What could be more democratic about a voting process that allows the results to be questioned? If results are not verified and reviewed then what good are elections? Part of a democracy is the ability to question those in authority, to be able to speak out when you feel you have been wronged and to see redress for those grievances.

If anything -- the objection to Ohio electoral votes strengthens democracy because we are free enough to be able to disagree and to talk about it..

as far as Rossi goes -- I say go for it, open up that can of worms... make some noise -- but beware, according to Rossi's compadres in GOPerland - to object to an election means he is supporting terrorists who hate our freedoms
