What Rove is doing isn't for those aware now, aside for a talking point for right wing ideologues and something for that 30% to cling to - it's for the benefit of those like that woman I know. Those born while Bush is in office and those born after...

Cloud the truth and you can shroud a legacy in doubt...and that doubt leaves room for the acceptance of lies. History can be shaped through spin.

Sure, there will always be a way of learning the actual truth but look at all the people who don't bother now. Look at all the people that have no clue about the Bush family and its history of criminality. Many don't even now what Iran-Contra/BCCI was... that is the past to some...something that doesn't affect them now..and some have never even heard of it.

But we know better.. and we know the exact same thugs are in power now.

We know Cheney has been itching to create an unitary executive since Nixon...but think of how many don't know that and they don't know it because the truth has been clouded through the years.

Time will tell how successful Roves spin will be...
