6. True Majority...
...wasn't against any legislation that I know of. But they wouldn't correct their information. In Washington State it wasn't until mere hours BEFORE the Harris/Stephenson press conference about felon involvement in our elections, that Sam Reed relented and went for a paper ballot, while also suggesting they would leave a path open for "New technology."

Keep in mind that citizens in Washington State had been asking for 8 straight months before that for a voter verified paper ballot and were ignored. Resolutions sent to the Secretary of State were met with the drival from The Election Center.

The fight is still on because the current legislation only requires a paper ballot of poll site based electronic voting devices. See how specific that is? What that means is that Reed has a wide open path to institute Internet voting, which is what he's said he's wanted all along. Now we have a bill morphed to also including ways to integrate alternative verification- read, electronic verification.

So Reed claims to be on the voter verified paper ballot side, but the legislation is written to make it very, very weak and leave doors open for his pet favorites.

I asked True Majority to take Washington off that list too, but no luck.

You just cannot believe the PR. You have to read the fine print to know if you're getting the real deal or not.
