Those are individuals who have raised $X. Also these are 4 year totals, include that individual's immediate family (so if you, your son, 2 daughters and wife each donated $2,000 the number would be $10,000) and if you also donated $20,000 to the DNC that number would be counted even though it wasn't a direct contribution to Kerry himself. Additionally, just because someone is wealthy does not make them evil. A very good friend of mine is a multi-millionaire (and i mean MULTI) and he donated $2000 to Dean, Kucinich and Kerry and makes massive contributions to the DNC all the time and he is a VERY good man (his charitable contributions far outweigh his personal expenditures, including Planned Parenthood, AIDS Action Committee, among other things).

That means people who have hosted fundraisers and who work for Citigroup. Again, I was personally thinking about doing a house party and raising some funds. Citicorp doesn't necessarily have anything whatsoever to do with this as a company. When corporations are doing things like funding issue ads and contributing huge $$$ to the DNC/RNC or to PACs then you need to wonder about the favors they are getting in return.

I will be donating the full $2000 to Kerry's campaign this year but I certainly don't expect the company I work for to get any favorable treatment as a result. I hope to raise $100,000 for Kerry over the coming months as well but again I also don't expect political favors.

These things are misleading. Ralph Nader loves to use them as a way to portray dems=repubs but this doesnt really tell the whole story.
