Contrary to opinions here about the media "knowing," I doubt that most of them actually did know, and I doubt that those you quote actually did know that they were hearing lies. I think most of them actually believed what they were told, but should have done their own research and investigative reporting. You might just lump them in with about 60 percent or more of the population that fell for the lies.

They're not that accustomed to the fact that the White House can lie so baldly. A good half the country still believe the lies.
