5. That's what I think too. That Condaleeza Rice was only partly lying
when she said that they didn't think airplanes would fly into buildings. They knew they could, but they had no specific evidence about the upcoming incident and they didn't bother to think too deeply into it because they didn't really care too much. They just knew enough where Ashcroft stopped flying commercial flights.

When Bush heard about the first tower, he had to known it was bin laden unless he truly is a complete vegetable. But he pretended that he thought it was an accident. Then when the second one got hit, he knew he was screwed and had made a mistake by pretending ignorance, but had to continue with the charade and that's why he went around saying that idiotic "one terrible pilot" line.

Had they really known what was going to happen, they would have written a big hero story line for Bush, but they didn't, so he ran around like a coward and then later they tried to make him sound brave and wrote him some phony dialogue and pretended Airforce One was a target.

I'm curious about why they took no action about the one flying toward the Pentagon. They knew it was highjacked a long time before it hit. Seems like they could have saved lives by ordering evacuations from Federal buildings. The kindest thing to think, I suppose, is that they were totally frozen and incompetent because nobody was in charge.
