Back then tv was "Leave it to Beaver" type shows. No violence. And yet, our media showed death up close and personal in Nam. Do you remember that every night we had the tapes on the evening news. The clips of the terrible fights. The dead bodies. The "shooting the guy in the head" tape, etc. Now we have a society of "can't get enough blood and guts". We have every piece of violence imaginable at our finger tips. We have programs devoted to dead bodies and all kinds of "fear factors". Death, violence, dead decaying bodies, real crime stories, glorification of criminals is our every day fare. BUT BUT BUT...we have seen fucking nothing of the reality of our new Nam--Iraq. Where are the headless bodies; the stacks of the dead; mutilated children; homeless; stench and fear that we saw in our living rooms in Nam??? What shit---they dare tell us that we are not seeing it because it might "offend". Their programming offends and so they make more of it. Let's see the truth you corporate dick sucking bastards!
