1. And Pawlenty and David Strom would say this is great because they will
save even more money not running the transit system. Fewer jobs, fewer people needing to get to work! Hey - less pollution too! Initially they were gleeful over the bus strike because they were saving so much money each day. Then they said they'd take that money and buy cars for poor people to get to work with. Who needs buses? They want to build more roads and have more drivers.

Seriously, this state needs an adult back in charge, like maybe even Arne Carlson who's a republican. He says Pawlenty is not focused.

If you want to get really riled ck out David Strom's Taxpayers League site - he is the guy who got Pawlenty to "promise" never to raise taxes. Of course they have passed the burden on to the cities and towns and the whole place is slowly caving. I heard him last week debating the transit strike - he sounds like about a 9th grade boy who revels in his lame debating skills (and chortles mockingly in the background while his opponent speaks - you could hear it on the radio) and has a grimy pile of note cards just full of lame facts.

Don't give up hope Nick - keep yourself out there in the marketplace. Something will fall in place for you!
