Okay, even at $2.50 a gallon, gas is INSANELY cheap! You're telling me that for $2.50 a gallon they can pump it out of the ground, transport it half way around the world, refine it, AND put some fairly high taxes on top of it?

Honestly, I don't feel bad for the people that are putting $50 at a time into their huge SUVs. We're not going to quit wasting energy on the large scale that we currently are until that energy gets to be expensive enough.
