18. Liberals etc. have been the majority right through the Bush years...
One of the lies that the Conservative-owned media perpetuates is
that Neo-cons, fundies, etc. are much greater in number in this country
than is realistic. Just because they make a lot of noise doesn't
mean there are a lot of them.

In David Brock's book "Blinded by the Right" he talks about how clearly
Conservatives know that, being in the minority, they can not win fairly.
They have consciously adopted their sleazeball, dirty-pool tactics based
on that knowledge. Its part of their plan to appear greater in number,
therefore more intimidating.

The Neocons also believe there are a bunch more of them out there too
intimidated by the "Liberal" Media to come out. But their tactics have
mostly brought a bunch of nascent fascists out of the closet, alienating
more decent, rational conservatives.
