9. I saw that and I agree. He seemed to be trying to
separate his father and his beliefs from what the Repukes and Bush want to use his father's death for political gain.

I heard today that people (Repukes) are supporting the slogan for Bush's reelection to be, "Win this one for the Gipper."

Hannity thought it was brilliant then brought up us Dems would have fits because we would claim they were capitalizing (or trying to) on Reagan's death. Well, DUH!!! Ronald Reagan has been sick for over 10 years. Why wait until his death to win one for the "Gipper."

Then he brought up Wellstones Memorial Service that turned into a rally, and how utterly sickening that was. I watched that from beginning to end, and Wellstone's own sons started the rallying part of the memorial. Up until then, there were speaches and memorials honoring Mr. Wellstone, his wife, and his daughter. The rallying part started after all the memorial speeches were given. And his sons said their dad would want to see people working together to make this country a better place. His sons claim the memorial went exactly as they felt their father would want it. Aren't they the ones to make the decisions . . . not the Republicants.

Ron Jr., was making a point and STRONGLY put it out there. I like when he said that his father DID NOT wear his religion on his sleeve for political purposes like SOME politicians do.

Do you think Bush picked up on that? Nah . . . he was already tucked in the bed by that time.
