said it would not be tandem --buckled/strapped to a "jumpmaster". Presumably he will deploy the pilot shoot which inflates to pull open the main canopy/parachute. Jumps are rehearsed ahead called the "dirt dive". With the freefall team they can maneuver to see he has not tumbled or passed out preventing ability to deploy on his own..in such case one would move in to get the pilot shoot out -- bet they'd never tell if any mishap high up occurred. Tho they could photoshop their video -- which they'll likely have.
Of course he'd have to land his chute..squares are highly maneuverable and braking is easy.
