25. Wow ....

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,122678,00.html

One would think that they are trying to marginalize the "controversy" to minimize exposure. The author apparantly panned "Bowling for Columbine". I cannot find a link.

But that was the right wing script for "Bowling For Columbine". I actually read a lot of reviews before I saw the film. And I thought the reviews were trumped up nonsense from a film that never really targeted the gun industry or blamed ANYTHING for the Columbine Massacre.

Rather, "Bowling For Columbine" was an indictment on the culture of fear in America. It was visibly contrasted vs that of Canada where people leave their front doors unlocked and pot is "no big deal".

So I think I think the wing-nuts have finally wised up and realized that protesting a movie only PROMOTES it!!!!!! Controversy gets people to buy tickets. So they are going to make it out to be a "serious, intellectual" film. In other words, they're trying to imply that it's BORING!!!!! And people don't go to theatres to be bored!!!!!
