75. I didn't know her then...I can only speak to what I know now...

She made herself perfectly clear tonight in a cbs interview. She said, she left the republican party after witnessing the vile destruction of former Senator Max Cleland. She was disgusted by their ruthlessness, destroying him at all costs, to win his seat.

Sen. Cleland was awarded the Bronze and Silver Stars for his valor and courage in Vietnam after losing his lower limbs and an arm in a grenade explosion. (How they could stoop so low to malign a war veteran who gave so much to his country speaks volumes of the minds behind the campaign.)

The GOP attack team relentlessly called Sen Cleland unpatriotic to win his seat, just as they have done using the same disgusting tactics on her husband. This coming with full approval from those who have never served their country. She didn't name names. I knew she meant Bush, Rove and Cheney and now that you mention 2 more, DeLay and Lott, they also fit the 'did not serve their country' profile.

"It just makes me wonder how these guys like Kerry and Carville can work for the Dems but be married to GOPpers."

Most of my family are republican and we get along fine. My father would vote as he saw fit and my mother always voted straight Rep. If they disagreed on their way to vote, they would just cancel each other's vote out in the voting booth. Then go home, pour themselves a glass of cognac, and wait for the results.
