Nope.

We have a healthy multi-party democracy that is much more representative of Canada than the US model is of America. The Liberals may claim the centre, but not the left, except insofar as they've appropriated NDP policies to retain power in a minority parliament. Well, fine. Maybe we'll get some progressive legislation again if they're humbled. We certainly will if they're replaced by the NDP as the natural alternative to the Conservatives.

The Conservatives will not form a majority. They don't have the numbers, and without a breakthrough in Quebec or sweeping Ontario, they won't.

Look no further than Paul Martin if you must have someone to blame for a Liberal defeat.
