...for the most part, Americans have no knowledge of the word. And that is ironic, as America is the center of global neoliberalism. Neoliberalism is very basically defined as "economic liberalism" by some definitions. It might be embodied by the "Golden Rule"--those who have the gold makes the rules.

Here are some words/phrases that are closely associated with neoliberalism:

-globalism
-competition among workers for jobs
-low taxes
-small government
-corporate capitalism
-weak welfare state
-outsourcing
-3rd world immigration

You can google the term for better definitions.
