"No more of a militant fanatic then I would be if America was invaded"

Let's suppose that the USA is being ruled by a thug. A thug with little or no respect for the law. A thug who tramples civil rights, and who installs other thugs as members of his administration.

Let's also assume that this thug makes it almost impossible to oust him and his band of thugs. Opposition to him and to his administration means imprisonment at best and a very slow, very painful death at worst.

And then let's assume that an outside country "invades" the USA and deposes the current thug-in-power and his gang of thugs. But let's assume that since the thug-in-power does not wish to relinquish power, the "invading" country has to resort to bombing Washington, DC.

But, in the end, the invading power does get rid of the current thug-in-power and his band of thugs. And then let's assume that the invading power sets about to try to rebuild the infra-structure of Washington, DC. And Let's also assume the UN wants to play a role in the rebuilding of Washington, and even goes so far as to establish an office in a hotel in downtown Washington.

Are you really suggesting that you would be a "militant fanatic" that might engage in blowing up a UN mission under those circumstances??
