7. I take Coleman seriously; it's a generational thing
people who were born around the post civil rights era all have an understand that racism is learned. We were raised with progressive values that we bought into and learned to be true, but the promise of equality has turned out to be lipservice and has all but evaporated under Bush the younger.

Coleman represents a return to those lost values. People who are my age understand.

Regan was a joke too and look where he got. I have a Mad magazine form the 60s spoofing Regan's Gubnatorial run. "The rum that would be Governor - Ron Reagun (Ron Rico spoof)"
