16. I think that is worse...
but only produced a "yawn" from everyone. If you ask me, it makes it look as if Cheney with the blessing of Kenny Boy Lay, etc. pushed us to war in order for his former company to make a big fat profit.

Cheney, who served as CEO from 1995 to 2000, continues to receive as much as $1 million a year in deferred compensation as Halliburton executives enjoy a seat at the table during Administration discussions over how to handle post-war oil production in Iraq.

When he left Halliburton to become VP he recieved a retirement package worth $26,000,000.

Like other big defense contractors, Halliburton is a major campaign contributor, mainly to the Republican party.

Cheney sold a lot of his stock and options but I beleive he may still own some - and it is in a "blind trust"

WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- The Washington Post says Halliburton, the company formerly headed by Vice President Dick Cheney, has won more than $1.7 billion in government contracts.

The contracts were issued under Operation Iraqi Freedom, but the newspaper said Halliburton stands to make hundreds of millions more dollars under a no-bid contract awarded by the Army Corps of Engineers.
