THE WIFE FACTOR: That was Fox News Channel star Bill O'Reilly making a rare public appearance with his wife, Maureen, the other night - especially rare since that unpleasant business involving former Fox News producer Andrea Mackris.

It was at a White House holiday party for television-news types. A Lowdown spy E-mailed: "He was looking semi-morose. Not smiling when he walked across the room holding hands with/dragging his wife. I didn't see him yukking it up with the other FNC people, who were all being very social.

"Bill wasn't smiling at all, except the big, closed-mouthed Cheshire-cat grin when he was posing with a giddy brunette woman. He and the missus ducked out before it ended."

Mackris' sexual-harassment lawsuit against the "O'Reilly Factor" host - who allegedly babbled about his erotic fantasies in numerous phone calls to her - fizzled after an undisclosed multimillion-dollar settlement.

LUDACRIS sums up the state of O'REILLY's state of, ahem, affairs, by saying that he "has pretty much killed himself." See this thread for illuminating graphics:

.... "Hi, Mr O'Reilly," Ludacris raps near the beginning of the album. "Hope all is well, kiss the plaintiff and the wifey." ....

"I don't feel like I need to do that," Ludacris (real name: Chris Bridges) told Reuters. "I feel like he's pretty much killed himself. I don't feel like I have to say much." ....

O'Reilly, meanwhile, was sued in October by Andrea Mackris, an associate producer for "The O'Reilly Factor," who claimed he had repeatedly pressured her to engage in sexually explicit conversations over the phone.

O'Reilly filed an extortion suit against Mackris and her lawyer. Almost as soon as the brouhaha erupted, it quickly faded as the parties reached a private settlement.
