I cannot believe some of the twisted rhetoric I heard spouted by "George Bush Supporter(s) 100 %" on Washington Journal this week regarding the tragedy. I'm ashamed of being an American right now - a country where possibly half of its citizens do not feel an obligation for their fellow men and women. A country where our leader took 4 days to utter one word, refused to cut short a vacation, goes ahead with a plans for an inuaguration that may cost over $50M. A country where we spend less percentage wise on non-military foreign aid than almost any other industrialized nation.
