3. True.
However, it's not necessarily hormonal issues that are at play, or mostly at play, in terms of full-blown postpartum depression for women, either, though they are a factor in terms of severity and often are THE main etiology for shorter term "baby blues." It's often the stress, the excitement, the anxiety at play in combination with someone who may be genetically predisposed to depression that is the larger part of the etiology. With that in mind, this actually makes some sense. Though, no one is saying this is an excuse for men for, well, for anything whatsoever!
