Laws are made because your neighbor doesn't like what you're doing, so your neighbor gets laws passed to make sure you don't do what he doesn't want you to do.
More or less. Been awhile since I read that, but loved that quote and seems to apply all over. Religion is obsessed with private lives. They've been controlling them for centuries.
