22. You are right about living in two different worlds. Bush supporters
have their own laws of physics, time and logic completely different from other people.

You can break through though. It takes years sometimes. I have a friend who in all other things is intelligent and well informed. He finally admitted to me that his vote in 2000 and 2004 was a mistake.

Go gently and find things that Republicans have done that they can't possibly support, like the $223 million bridge in Alaska to link a population of 50 to the mainland. Or the $250 million bridge called Don Young's Way after the chairman of the transportation committee. Or the $1.5 billion slipped into the energy bill by Tom Delay to study the best way to explore for oil--all awarded to a single consulting firm in Houston, his home district.

From Republican in general you can eventually get to Bush in particular.
