At what point do you become a crackpot?

I just had a LTTE published about two weeks ago. This week I made an on-line response to the following poll and today those comments were published. I didn't intend for that to happen, but it did. It's a small town newspaper, just how much is too much?

Here's the latest of my adventures:

http://www.timesreporter.com/browser_detect.php
The T-R Poll Results

Who's mostly to blame for high oil prices?
Big Oil companies 36.41 % (331)
President Bush 36.74 % (334)
Geo-political forces 8.36 % (76)
Speculators 5.28 % (48)
Consumers 6.38 % (58)
China 4.07 % (37)
Other 2.75 % (25)
Total votes: 909

Readers' Viewpoints: Hands in our pockets

To the Editor:

It’s difficult to choose between big oil companies and President Bush. They go hand in hand, or perhaps, hand in our pockets.

The oil companies are making tons of money. Bush rewards them with corporate welfare in the new energy bill.

The people lose.
