And, after the fact, there is not much we can do. We can stay in the valley and be washed away by the floodwaters. Or, we can move to higher ground and wait for the waters to subside. We don't have a lot of choices in such a circumstance. Natural disasters happen and must run their course. I feel like I am standing on the mountainside watching the water rise. Only when the storm is over can we begin the cleanup. The trick is not to drown in the process.
