the Bushnocchio ones are more satisfying, but that's just today.

and AFAIC, the best Nixon cartoons were done by Ralph Steadman, when he was illustrating for the departed Hunter Thompson.

did you hear about his 150 blowout yesterday, at Owl Creek Farm?

if you have time, you should go back and read some of his Nixon era stuff. his Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail was as good a political journal as I've ever read, and I've read a whole LOT of them. He was the ONLY journalist who predicted, quite a bit in advance, that McGovern had the nomination sewn up, while the rest of the herd was convinced it was all Muskie. won't go into detail, but Thompson actually did on the ground reporting, unlike they do today (and most did back then), and TALKED to those who were actually the movers and shakers in the revised nominating process.

makes me very sad to think his voice is stilled

not Nixon, but this makes me LOL whenever I see it
